Imagine you have two magic coins. You keep one and give the other to your friend who lives far away. Usually, coins flip on their own. But these are special: whenever your coin lands on 'Heads', your friend's coin instantly lands on 'Heads' too, even though you aren't in the same room. They are connected by an invisible thread that makes them behave like a team, no matter how far apart they are.

Think of a pair of identical magic gloves in separate boxes. Before you open a box, neither glove knows if it is for the 'Left hand' or 'Right hand'. But the moment you open your box and see a 'Left' glove, the other glove in the other box—even if it's on the moon—instantly decides it must be the 'Right' glove to complete the set.
Technical Deep Dive
Entanglement occurs when particles interact in such a way that the quantum state of each particle cannot be described independently of the state of the others. When you measure a property (like spin) of one particle, the wave function of the entangled system collapses, immediately revealing the state of the second particle. This happens faster than the speed of light, which led Albert Einstein to famously call it 'spooky action at a distance.'
